ZJ LIQUID TEAMS UP WITH SAFAREE FOR NEW REGGAE SINGLE

DJ or should I say “ZJ” Liquid, one of Jamaica’s top DJ, has linked up with rapper/writer Safaree for a fire new single!!

Michael Brissett also known as, ZJ Liquid is an international disc jockey superstar. He is a DJ for Zipfm & JA H20 Records. He made an appearance on Bet’s 106 & Park back in 2014 representing for Dancehall/Reggae music. ZJ Liquid commented on the experience as a good look for the Jamaican music culture.

He says “It was a good look, great vibe and most of all a proud feeling to represent Jamaica and as a little youth from MoBay who knew that one day the hard work would pay off,”

ZJ had a chance to showcase some of the music he had been working on at the time. ZJ Liquid was also a 2014 Global Spin award nominee for Reggae DJ of the year.

Now, ZJ is set to work with Safaree on a new single called “One Time”. The track is up on iTunes but doesn’t release to the public until April 8th.

Liquid releases Kartel's 'Black and White' album

ZJ Liquid has released the long anticipated Vybz Kartel Black and White album.

The 13-track album, produced by Liquid and Don Corleon, features hits as far back as 2003 during the time that H2O Records was founded.

"When I decided to venture into production, I had my objectives lined out, and I was determined to make my mark in the music industry. Over the years, I had the opportunity to produce a few of Vybz Kartel's hits, which I have now compiled into an album," said Liquid.

The album was released earlier this month. The inspiration behind the album title is based on Kartel's change in physical appearance over the years.

The album features singles such as Fix Up, Hello Motto, Live Your Life, Big Man Thing, Old Before Young,and Tek Love.

ZJ Liquid also shares that this album will give the general public a better understanding of who he is as a producer as many fans tend to pay more attention to his disc jock persona.

"Many fans see me as a DJ first and producer after. They know I am in production, but they are not aware of the altitude to which I take it. This album will help them to recognise what instrumentals were produced by me as well as which of their favourite Vybz Kartel tracks I produced over the years," he said.
